I have been working at Tūtaki since May 2019 as the Children’s Social Worker. I love working here at Tūtaki with such a supportive and inclusive team that strives to better our community.
I completed my Bachelor of Social Work as of 2018 with the University of Waikato, which included completing placements with Taranaki Women’s Refuge and an international placement with Children’s Future International based in Cambodia.
Stepping into my role as Children’s Social Worker, I work with children ages 4-14 years. This can be done individually or in groups to develop an understanding of their emotions, healthy relationships, anger management and self-esteem. Though most importantly it’s about creating a safe space for our community’s young ones.
